Global Health Dinner Seminar with Dr. Mohamed Bailor Barrie

Mohamed Bailor Barrie, MBChB, is executive director and co-founder of Wellbody, a Sierra Leone-based organization established to deliver free, high-quality health care to civilian amputees. Wellbody operates a free monthly clinic in Sierra Leone's Kono District. Bailor comes from a poor Sierra Leonean village family. His passion to serve his country people developed from an opportunity to attend medical school while friends with similar backgrounds could not. He graduated from Sierra Leone's only medical school in 2004. Before partnering with Princeton alumnus Dr. Dan Kelly to establish Wellbody, Bailor worked as a medical officer for the Ministry of Health and an NGO Hospital while acting as a pharmacology lecturer for the College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences. In 2007, Bailor joined the board of directors of the Global Action Foundation, an organization founded by Dr. Kelly to help rebuild the lives of war-disabled Sierra Leoneans. Bailor is honored with multiple awards, including Fullah Progressive Union's "Humanitarian Award."
