Academic Programs
Overview
The Princeton Sustainability Plan proposes support for research, student projects, and staff initiatives that use the campus as a dynamic hands-on laboratory for studying and testing innovative approaches to sustainability. Students involved in sustainability research and other environmental initiatives will be prepared for lives of leadership and active civic engagement at a time when such engagement is critical to achieving a sustainable future.
The following programs are all engaged in sustainability education and research:
Princeton Environmental Institute
Learn about PEIs research centers and groups. Find out what special events, lectures, and conferences are coming up for the 2008-09 academic year. Learn about the Grand Challenges program on energy, climate, global health and infectious disease, and sustainable development in Africa.
Program in Environmental Studies
Learn about courses on environmental topics and about requirements for a certificate in environmental studies. Find out about internships (on- and off-campus) and funding for student research projects. Learn about undergraduate summer courses in marine biology through PEIs partnership with the Bermuda Institute for Ocean Studies.
Program in Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy
Learn how to complete a Woodrow Wilson School certificate in science, technology, and environmental policy. Find out about a great lunchtime seminar series. Learn how you can join a vibrant, interdisciplinary community of students, research, and faculty working to find solutions to real-world problems.
Center for African-American Studies

Certificate Program in Sustainable Energy
