UBikes Campus Bike Rental Program - Funding will support continued refurbishment and reuse of abandoned bicycles, as well as the startup of a new fleet intended to prevent the accumulation of abandoned bikes over the long term. An equipment maintenance service for all community members is also in place through the student volunteer-run Bike Co-Op. Project Lead: Jeff Domanski, Office of Sustainability

Sustainability Ambassador Program Internship - Through the Office of Sustainability, this intern will partner with campus programs to begin developing the PU Sustainability Ambassador program. Training support will be provided by the Office of Sustainability. Project Lead: Office of Sustainability.

Research and Education Initiatives

Effects of Sustainable Practices on Indoor Air Quality and Water Quality, Human Health and Building Energy Use of a Princeton Aquatic Complex
In partnership with the Facilities Department, this collaborative project between faculty, students and Athletics staff will monitor the impact of installing a UV water filtration system. While this technology is not new, few studies have quantified its impacts on chemical usage, air quality and downstream water quality. Project leads: Dr. Eileen Zerba, EEB; Gregory Paczkowski, Athletics

An Environmental and Economic Model for Assessing Structural Systems
This faculty research project will conduct life cycle assessment of building structural systems. With this model the Office of Design and Construction (ODC) can select sustainable structural systems that are cost-effective and have improved sustainability performance to then improve the university's operational sustainability. Project Lead: Dr. Sigrid Adriaenssens, Dept of Civil and Environmental Engineering
