Hardware Support

We're now able to facilitate repairs of Apple iOS iPhones and iPads. Please stop by the Solutions Center for help and information. We're happy to help you!

OIT Hardware Support is responsible for the installation and maintenance of Princeton's physical data network and for installation and repair of computers and computer peripherals across campus. We also provide data recovery and data destruction services and are an authorized warranty service center for Apple, Dell, HP, IBM/Lenovo and Xerox.

Hardware Support runs part of the Solutions Center in the Frist Campus Center, where it is possible for us to diagnose problems and solve minor issues. If you have a problem with your computer, you can bring it and any cables that it needs to operate to the Solutions Center. For more information about the Solutions Center, please see the Solutions Center Knowledge Base article. If we can't solve the problem there, we'll send the machine to 171 Broadmead for analysis and repair. 

Hardware Support is also responsible for TigerTV, the campus wireless network, campus security camera and point-of-sale systems, campus digital display panels and public TVs and public computer installations and support.

Our current hourly labor rate is $101. We have a minimum charge of $50.00, or one-half hour. After the first half hour, labor is charged in one-quarter hour increments.
