Tech Clinic

The Solutions Center Tech Clinic in Frist Campus Center room 112 offers a wide variety of in-person computing support services ranging from software diagnostics to hardware support. Our services are walk-in only and do not require an appointment. Please be aware that you will have to remain with your machine while we perform our services.

Summer Hours Of Operation

  • Summer hours start on Commencement until Friday August 31st 2018. The OIT Store and Tech Clinic hours will be 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday (closed daily for lunch between 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM) We will accept personal machines Monday through Friday between 8:30 AM and 2:00 PM. Please see personal machine guidelines, below. (Please come as early in the day as possible to assure that we can help you - See note below)

Normal Hours of Operation

  • Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with last check-in at 5:00 PM (Please come as early as possible to assure that we can help you - see note below)

Please Note: Based on the time required to resolve complex issues, we highly recommend that customers arrive as early in the day as possible, however, we reserve the right to decline check-ins prior to our last check-in time if your visit requires a lengthy stay.

Personal Machine Guidelines

The OIT Solutions Center Tech Clinic will offer consulting services to faculty and staff for personally owned computers that are used primarily for Princeton University related business during the allowed times posted below. The computer MUST belong to the faculty/staff member and MUST be used principally for Princeton University business. University policy prohibits OIT from utilizing its resources to support non-University related activities. OIT will not provide services to family members, computers used by family members or for personal computers that are used mainly for recreational/personal purposes.  

During all time periods, the Tech Clinic gives priority to servicing student and institutionally owned computers.

  • Month of September: No faculty/staff personal machines due to "Back to School" activities.
  • October thru June 1/University graduation (whichever is later): Faculty and staff home/personal machines can be brought in on Wednesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 1:30 PM.
  • June 1 through September 1: Faculty and staff home/personal machines can be brought in anytime during normal business hours.

 Other Services at Frist Campus Center

The OIT Store in room 113 is the place to go to buy specially-priced software (for a full list of available software, please see OIT Store), hardware items and accessories such as power adapters, wireless cards, mice, and HDMI/VGA adapters. Open hours for the OIT Store are Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (4:30 PM in the summer).
