OIT offers a loaner program for mobile devices via the OIT Solutions Center in room 113 Frist Campus Center. This program is designed to help faculty and staff conduct University business while away from campus. Available devices include iPhones, Androids, Flip Phones, iPads, Mobile Hotspots, Laptops, Surface Pro’s and Apple Adapters.
Mobile devices and accessories are limited and lent out on a first-come, first-serve basis. We apologize if a certain device is not available during your time of travel.
Reservations must be made online by completing the Mobile Reservation form for the device you wish to borrow (See links below).
There is no cost to borrow the equipment, however excessive talk, text or data usage, especially in international destinations could result in a bill back to the department. User’s should use discretion and be cognizant of their cellular data, text, and talk usage while using our loaner equipment.
All requests must be submitted no later than 5 business days prior to traveling. Please allow 30 minutes set up time for all devices, except laptops, which require 45 minutes.
The pick up date should be no later than 1 day prior to travel and picked up no later than 3:00 pm. Please understand that mobile devices are limited and may be reassigned to another faculty or staff member later that day. If you are unable to return the device on the scheduled date and time, please notify the Help Desk as soon as possible. Devices must be returned to Frist Campus Center Room 113, no later than 9:30 am on the specified return date. A late fee of $5/day may be charged if a device is not returned on the designated return date. Damages and/or missing items will result in charges to your departmental Prime Chart String.
