Merom Kalie is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Political Science at the University of Toronto, and earned his M.A. degree in Political Science at the Hebrew University. His dissertation focuses on the topic of ethics and solidarity in the thought of Martin Buber and Albert Camus. He was named a Tikvah fellow at the Center for Jewish Studies at the University of Toronto (2009) and received a Tikvah Scholarship (2011). He was also an associate editor of the Toronto Journal for Jewish Thought. During the past several years he has taught an undergraduate course on Zionism and religion.
