Transportation & Parking Services Mass Transit Subsidy Program
Princeton University employees who commute to campus via mass transit are eligible to receive a 50% subsidy* on his or her monthly transit pass.
Participants of the program must be full-time, benefits-eligible employees of Princeton University. Participants under this program are not eligible for an annual parking pass; however, daily parking passes will be administered for special circumstances.
How it works:
Application Form – please complete and submit this form to Kim Jackson 1at kimj@princeton.edu or to Transportation and Parking Services, A Floor New South. You will receive an email confirmation on whether your application was approved or not.
Monthly Claim Form – Once your application has been approved, please submit the monthly claim, along with a copy of your transit receipt(s) by the 10th of each month via fax to PayFlex (877) 406-7220 or mail a hard copy to:

The subsidy will be given in the subsequent paycheck following receipt of your subsidy request. We ask that you send in the subsidy request by the 10th of each month to ensure there is sufficient time to process your request.
Employees with limited computer access may perform these monthly transactions at Transportation & Parking Services located on the A Floor, New South.
*NOTE: The mass transit subsidy is considered taxable income and is subject to federal and state income taxes. The subsidy will appear as additional income in a subsequent paycheck following receipt of your subsidy request.

The following incentive programs available to Princeton University students.
NJ Transit Monthly Pass Student Discount
(Available to All Princeton University Students)
Princeton Undergraduate and Graduate students are eligible to receive a 25% off a regular rail, bus, or light rail monthly pass when enrolled through NJ Transit's Quik-Tik program.
How to Enroll:
Purchase through Online Quik-Tik Program
To initially sign up, you must login through the secure Princeton University access page. Your full-time student status will be verified electronically to NJ Transit. When you sign up the price of the monthly pass will automatically reflect the 25% student discount. During your enrollment, you will create a "Quik-Tik user name and password," so you can view or manage your account directly from the NJ TRANSIT Quik-Tik login.
In order to receive the discount, students must purchase the pass before the 10th of the prior month they plan to use the pass. For example, if a student wishes to use a monthly pass for July, he/she must purchase the pass via Quik-Tik before June 10th. For more information on Quik-Tik, please call 866-QUIK-TIX.
Purchase through Ticket Agent
Students can also obtain a hard copy of the application from any NJ Transit ticket agent. For a list of stations with ticket agents, please visit the NJ Transit website.
Each application contains four forms, one for each month, to be completed once a semester. If you are applying using a hard copy, please bring the completed form to the Registrar’s Office for stamp and seal of approval.
Graduate Student Mass Transit Subsidy Program
(Available to Princeton University Graduate Students Only)
In addition to the NJ Transit's discount program, Princeton University graduate students are eligible to participate in the University's Mass Transit Subsidy Program. This program offers a 50% reimbursement on monthly transit passes for graduate students who commute to campus via public transit. The subsidy is provided to the student through a subsequent paycheck or stipend reimbursement.

Eligibility:
The participant of the Graduate Student Mass Transit Subsidy Program must be an enrolled Princeton University graduate student who resides elsewhere and commutes to Princeton by public transportation. This program does not reimburse recreational, weekly, or individual transit tickets. Participants of the Mass Transit Subsidy program will not receive an annual parking permit; however students can receive a limited number of daily passes from Transportation & Parking Services for days they need to drive to campus.
