International Health Insurance
In many places around the world, hospitals and physicians require payment in cash or by credit card at the time care is provided. While students are able to seek reimbursement from their insurance carrier when they return to the US, they need to pay for services out of pocket while they are abroad.
Purchasing international health care coverage will enable the traveler to obtain medical care without the requirement of a possibly large financial outlay prior to treatment. More information and links to providers are listed in the 'international health insurance information' document.
