Peer Advising Programs
Student peer advisors work to raise awareness, provide education, and serve as a resource for students on a wide variety of psychosocial and wellness issues. All peer advisors are trained by medical and psychological experts and are supervised by UHS staff.
Peer advisors are available to provide information and offer referrals to on-campus resources. All peer advising groups offer Order-In Programs, which are facilitated discussions for residential colleges, student organizations, eating clubs, athletic teams, sororities, and fraternities. Order-In Programs can be tailored to meet specific needs.
UHS coordinates four peer advising programs:
- Eating Concerns Peer Advisors
- Healthy Minds Advisors
- SHARE Peer Advisors (Sexual Harassment and Assault)
- Sexual Health Advisors
