Crisis Intervention
Counseling and Psychological Services staff are always available to respond to urgent psychiatric concerns during business hours and after-hours. Urgent psychiatric concerns, including suicidal, homicidal, or psychotic behaviors, and acute eating disorders or substance abuse are addressed. Counseling and Psychological Services evaluates urgent concerns presented by a student or someone who is concerned about the student, including a roommate, family member, dean, faculty, or coach.
Counseling and Psychological Services staff are also available to respond to disasters or traumatic events that may affect an individual or groups of people.
