The Student Health Advisory Board (SHAB) is a student-run organization committed to ensuring student satisfaction and quality of health care at Princeton University. SHAB members advocate for the health and wellness of all students on campus and act as liaisons between students and UHS. SHAB membership is open to all undergraduate, and graduate students. Members serve on campus committees, such as the Vice President for Campus Life’s Alcohol Coalition, the Health and Well-Being Task Force, and the Undergraduate Life Committee of the Undergraduate Student Government.
SHAB’s role continues to expand as it adapts to the changing health and wellness needs of the Princeton University community. SHAB conducts semi-annual UHS patient evaluations that provide an opportunity for student and patient feedback on their healthcare. Data collected from patient evaluations typically highlight that 99 percent of respondents are satisfied with their visit to UHS and that 99 percent of respondents would recommend this service/treatment to a fellow student or co-worker. For information please visit the SHAB web site at www.princeton.edu/~shab.
