UHS operates an inpatient unit to care for patients who need overnight care. Inpatient Services provides nursing care to students to allow them to remain in the academic environment while receiving medical and psychological treatments. Registered nurses, assisted by nurses’ aides, provide care 24 hours a day. Physicians and mental health providers make daily rounds.

A neighboring Parent’s Suite is available for parents who wish to stay overnight while their child is an inpatient or hospitalized locally. To make arrangements for use of this suite, call Inpatient Services at (609) 258-3139.

Students needing a safe, quiet place for rest or retreat may spend the night when space is available. Students should call for assistance and to check availability.
