Physical Therapy

Physical therapy services are offered to Princeton University Community members to evaluate and treat functional limitations and provide physical rehabilitation through specialized care.

For employees (and their dependents)

Hamilton Physical Therapy Services (HPTS) provides physical therapy services for work- and non-work-related injuries. HPTS accepts a variety of insurances. For information on physical therapy coverage under your medical plan, visit the Human Resources website.

For students (undergraduate and graduate)

Physical therapy is provided by Dillon Gym during the academic year. Varsity student-athletes (including club rugby) should access rehabilitative services through Athletic Medicine. During summer and winter breaks, students may access care at Hamilton Physical Therapy, or choose any other local provider that they prefer.

Appointments

Students: At any time, you can make an appointment with HPTS but there will be a cost for services, based on your insurance coverage. Ask about insurance coverage prior to scheduling physical therapy appointments off campus. If you are on the Student Health Plan (SHP), in-network physical therapy is covered at 90% after the deductible is met. Search for an in-network provider via the Aetna Navigator. If you are on a family insurance plan, visit their website or call Member Services for assistance.

Employees: make an appointment with HPTS by calling 609-258-4450. Schedule an appointment with additional in-network providers by accessing the provider directory on the Aetna and UnitedHealthcare websites.
