Integrated e-mail, voice mail and calendaring
The new system, Microsoft Unified Messaging (UM), offers great flexibility. It brings together your voice mail, e-mail, and calendaring functions, and makes messages and appointments from these services accessible from both your phone and e-mail inbox. With the text-to-speech capabilities, you will be able to listen to and reply to e-mail messages and calendar appointments by phone. Voice recognition features will allow you to speak commands that manage your messages. You also will be able to play voice mail messages and preview text versions of these messages from your e-mail inbox. Additional UM features will allow you to set your own call answering rules to direct your calls according to caller or time, set multiple greetings, and more.
