Princeton Catering Terms and Conditions
We will send an e-mail confirmation of your event. Please ensure that you have received the confirmation at least five days prior to the event. You should check all information contained in the confirmation for accuracy and completeness and notify us of any changes or discrepancies. This is an absolute necessity for the success of your event.
It is important to book your event well in advance so that we can accommodate you and provide the best service possible. We request at least 10 business days notice, but often require more, to guarantee your event on our calender. For more ordering information see Place an Order.
There will be a minimum charge of $150.00 for all events. A minimum Sunday Labor charge of $300.00 will be added to Sunday events. Events booked less than 14 days may be subject to additional labor fees.
For events with hot buffet set-up, without an attendant present there will be a $100.00 set-up fee. If you require guest linen placement without an attendant present, there will be a $100.00 placement fee.
The busy Catering calendar may not be able to accept late bookings. If we are able to accept a late booking, our chef will provide you with a menu based on available items.
In the unfortunate occurrence of a cancellation, please notify us prior to the event. Within three business days, it will become necessary for us to charge a cancellation fee of 50% of the most recent count. A cancellation within 24 hours of the event will incur a charge of 10%.
Late Changes to Your Event
Please note, there may be some situations that are impossible to accommodate. Count and menu item changes must be submitted 5 business days prior to your event.
All events catered by Princeton University have service time limitations as follows: Breakfasts and Refreshment Breaks 1 hour, Luncheons 2 hours, Receptions 1 1/2 hours and Dinners 2 hours. We will provide additional service for $28/hour for each staff member required. Please discuss with us any plans you may have to schedule speakers, programs or meetings during the event. This may help avoid any extra service charges
You will be billed for the actual number of guest or the guarantee, which ever is higher. All events are priced "per guest." Any additional rentals or services may be priced either per guest or by quantity.

Removal of Food
Board of Health regulations require that any food not consumed at the event be removed by the Catering Department only.
