Howard Sutphin, a food services worker at Mathey and Rockefeller College residential dining halls was made an honorary member of the Class of 2012 during Class Day ceremonies held on Cannon Green on June 4.

In remarks to the class and their families, Nick Pugliese '12, Class Vice President, said Howard has "given us a powerful model of what is possible when you tackle your job with a love for others and a zest for life." He also quoted Professor Jeff Nunokawa, Master Rockefeller College, who said, "Howard has made a facility into a home, a place to eat into a place of love, and a common space into a social celebration."

 
During the ceremony Howard proudly received the class jacket.
