
Using Today's Menus
Interactive Nutrition and Allergen Identification Tool
Today's Menus, in addition to providing the menu for each day of the week in all dining service venues, is also an interactive tool to help you make healthy choices in Princeton's residential dining halls. Use Today's Menu to:
Meal Planning and Nutrition
To view menu items and nutritive information for each item:
- From Today's Menus select a residential dining hall, retail dining venue or select standard fare items (menu items available daily)
- Select a date*
- Menu items will appear for each meal served in the dining hall/retail venue for the date you have selected
- Click the "Nutrition" bar located next to the meal
- Click on each item to view nutritive information per serving
Nutritional Analysis Report
To generate a nutritional analysis report for an entire meal:
- Follow steps 1-4 above
- When menu items appear select menu items for analysis
- Indicate number of servings
- Select "Report" to view the interactive nutritive analysis for every item selected
- To make deletions or additions select return to menu selection and make appropriate changes
Allergy Filtering
The allergy filtering component of Today's Menus gives you the ability to view a menu that includes items containing certain allergens or view a menu with specific allergen containing items removed.
- From Today's Menus select a residential dining hall, retail dining venue or select standard fare items (menu items available daily)
- Select a date*
- Menu items will appear for each meal served in the dining hall/retail venue for the date you have selected
- Click on "Set Allergen Filters" located in the upper left hand corner above "Select a date"
- A Set Allergen Filters text box will appear.
- Select the allergens you wish to show by selecting "Contains"
- Select the allergens you wish to hide by selecting "Does Not Contain"
- Choose each allergen that applies and click on the word "Apply"

Vegetarian, Vegan, Sustainable and Healthy Menu Selections
Special icons and color coding is used in Today's Menu offerings to indicate particular ingredients. Use the Legend located in the left column of each Today's Menu webpage to identify these items:
- Vegan (contains no animal products or animal product derivatives, including meat, poultry, seafood, eggs, dairy products and honey)
- Vegetarian (contains no meat products)
- Contains Pork
- Contains Nuts
- Earth Friendly Entree
(At least 80% of this entree contains sustainable, organic or local ingredients) - Conscious Cuisine Choice
(Meets Conscious Cuisine Requirements) - Carbon Emissions
(High to Low)
* Skip the select a date step when viewing nutritional information for standard fare items.
