Room Draw Guide
What’s New?
- Spelman Buildings 1 and 2 will be retro-fitted to accommodate doors for Sabbath Observant Students.
- Gender Neutral options will now include rooms in the Residential Colleges. These rooms will show as mixed gender in the available rooms list. This list will be published in mid-March.

Room Draw is the process by which rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors select a room and where applicable, a dining plan for the next academic year. During Room Draw you will:
- Submit an online application to participate in a particular draw or several draws.
- Receive a date and time for your room selection.
- Select your room online during your assigned date and time.
- Select your dining plan, if applicable.
- Electronically sign your Housing and if applicable, Dining Contract, thereby signifying your acceptance of the contract.
This guide is intended to step students throught the draw process and provides planning materials as well as important dates and contract information. Please check the Undergraduate Housing Office webpage for room draw announcements.

The regulations and procedures contained in this guide will not be waived or revised during the course of the draw. Any student who feels these regulations are being abused may contact the Undergraduate Housing Office. Students who seek unfair advantage in the Room Draw process will be subject to University disciplinary action and, at the discretion of the department of Housing and Real Estate Services, may lose their right to draw a University dormitory room. Any disputes, abnormalities, or improprieties will be referred to the Board of Examiners. This group consists of the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Students, and the Associate Director for Student Housing. The group is not empowered to grant additional weighted ratings. All decisions are binding, and appeals will not be considered .
