Undergraduate Room Draw Guide

Post Draw Information

Contract Cancellations

Cancellation Policies
If you participate in Room Draw in any way (by designating a proxy, through the Wait List or the regular Room Draw process) and you select or are assigned a room, and have electronically signed a contract, it is assumed that you will live on campus for the academic year. The Housing and Dining Contract signed electronically during the Room Draw process is a binding agreement for the entire academic year.

Cancellation Notification
It is the students responsibility to notify the Undergraduate Housing Office in writing of his/her intent to cancel a Housing Contract. If taking a leave or participating in study abroad, do not rely on the official notification given by the Dean's office to the Housing Office as there is often a significant time lapse before the Housing Office is officially notified. The date upon which the Housing Office receives  written notification from the student is the date from which cancellation fees are determined.

Cancellation Deadlines
You may cancel your contract without penalty up until July 15.

Cancellation Fees
Contracts cancelled after July 15 will result in a fee as stated in the schedule below. Note that cancellations occuring after classes begin, once you have picked up the key to your room (regardless of the date) or have moved into the room, will incur a charge equal to one half of the semester's rent.
