Undergraduate Room Draw Guide
Rising Junior and Seniors, Selecting A Meal Plan

After Rising Juniors and Seniors select a room some students will be required to select a dining plan for the next academic year, while others will be given an opportunity to select a plan but are not required to do so. Students who select a room as part of the Independent Draw will not be prompted to select a meal plan. Students for whom meal plans are a requirement (Residential College residents) will not be able to complete the room selection process without selecting a meal plan.
Meal Plan Options
Juniors and Seniors living in residential colleges are required to sign a dining services contract for one of the specified meal plans. Upperclassmen who are not living in a residential college and who are not a part of the Independent Draw have the option to obtain a meal plan. Their choices include several block and unlimited meal plans.
- Unlimited Plan
The Unlimited Plan will allow you unlimited access to residential dining halls plus 10 additional guest meals for the semester. The Unlimited Plan allows for more than one entry during any meal period in the residential dining halls plus a single meal for each late meal period and Saturday breakfast at Frist Campus Center Food Gallery.
- Block 235
This block plan will allow 235 meals per semester, or approximately 15 meals per week. Each semester 10 swipes may be used for guests. Block 235 meals reset at the beginning of the semester. No credit is given for unused meals.
- Block 190
This block plan will allow 190 meals per semester, or approximately 13 meals per week. Each semester 10 swipes may be used for guests. Block 190 meals reset at the beginning of the semester. No credit is given for unused meals.
- Block 95
This block plan will allow 95 meals per semester, 10 of which may be used for guests.
- Shared Block 95 (Eating Club Members Only)
This block plan will allow 95 meals per semester in a campus dining hall, 10 of which may be used for guests. This plan is for registered club members who choose a room in one of the four year residential colleges. The annual cost is determined by each eating club and is limited to a particular number of students determined by the club. Club members are encouraged to ask their club leadership for specific information regarding shared meal plans at their club. Additional information providing detail about the selection of this plan during room draw may be found here.
All upperclassmen receive two free meals per week each semester in the residential college dining halls.
