Rising Juniors and Seniors, Selecting Your Room During Your Draw

Login to Room Draw Program Prior to Selection Time
On the day of each draw for which you submitted an application you or your proxy will be required to login to the Undergraduate Room Draw Program located on the Housing Department Web site. It is suggested that you login at least 15 minutes prior to your selection time. Early login will permit you and your group to view the Available Rooms and Last Selected Room List in real time and plan accordingly.
View Available Rooms List
You (or your proxy) will be able to view a list of rooms available for selection. This list is updated in real time and as rooms are selected they will disappear from the Available Rooms List. Remember to refresh this list by refreshing your browser.
View Upperclass Limits-4 year Colleges List
If drawing into a four year Residential College be sure to look at the "View Upperclass Limits-4 Year Colleges" (navigate from the menu) which will provide real time information about each residential college if you refresh your browser.
Mixed Class Group Regulations
If you (or your proxy) are selecting a room as part of a Mixed Class Group mixed group regulations will apply. You must have at least one older member of a group living in a suite with younger members.
Independent Draw Kitchen and Kitchen Cabinet Access Check Box
Independent Students who wish to have use of a cabinet or a limited access kitchen should check the kitchen key box after selecting a room. A form will then be available which should be completed and faxed or brought to the Housing Department.
Dropping Down
You (or your proxy) may elect to drop down to a later draw time and select at a later time if this strategy better suits your needs. You will need the group number of the group to which you are "dropping down." Group numbers are listed on the Undergraduate Room Draw Website.
Select Your Room in the Allotted Time
At your room selection time, you (or your proxy) will have between 3 and 18 minutes to make your room selection, depending on the size of the group. The room will be held for ten minutes to enable all members of the suite to accept the contract for the room.
Acceptance of Room
You will be required to accept your room contract. For those students drawing into a residential college you will need to select a meal plan. These students will be unable to accept a room until a meal plan has been selected. If applying as a single individual, you will be instructed to accept the room. If applying as a group you will be unable to accept the room until the room has filled. Room acceptance by every member of your group must occur before you will be permitted to sign your contract. Check carefully to be certain that the room selection you are asked to accept is correct. Your acceptance is binding and can not be changed. Do not accept a room if it is not the selection you intended.
