INTERIM HOUSING
2013 INTERIM HOUSING INFORMATION AND PROCEDURES
The interim assignment list can be found by clicking here. An alphabetical list can be found here. Please understand that this was an extremely difficult year as we have limited space. Many students are having to move, and in some cases across campus. Many of you will not see your current room listed here which means it has been assigned to an alumni returning for Reunions. Please do not request to change rooms.
Please get in touch with your interim week roommate(s) where applicable and make arrangements to move. Students who are getting roommates, please be kind to your new roommate. This is a relatively short amount of time and with limited space to house students remaining on campus we appreciate your cooperation. Interim moves MUST take place on Sunday, May 26th between 1 pm and 4 pm . If you are planning on leaving and FULLY vacating your current room prior to 12 noon on Saturday, May 25th and returning sometime after the interim move day, that's acceptable. You'll just need to hit a hot spot on campus to gain access to your new room.
For any athletes competing post-June 5th, our office will be in touch with you about housing arrangements.
This list includes all student crew members working the specific reunion site, all student group members approved for interim housing and any student athletes still competing.
All students with interim and crew housing should plan on remaining in their current rooms on Saturday evening, May 25th. Interim access will be available to pick up beginning at 12 noon on Sunday, May 26th by touching a hot spot. You must complete your move by no later than 4 pm. Please be patient if you are moving into a room that is being vacated by someone else. If you are staying in your same room, then you do not need to do anything on the 26th.
It's usually a good idea to get in touch with your new roommate(s) for dead week so you can coordinate space and moving plans.
If you are an athlete who is still competing you will be included on the interim list. You may retain your room until 24 hours after your final competition at which time your room must be vacated and prepped for the next resident. If you have any open beds in your room, they will be assigned to other students needing to be on campus during dead week. You should be certain that there is plenty of space for the student(s) moving into your room.
General Information
- What is Interim Housing? Interim Housing provides accommodations for groups and individuals who need to stay on campus because of various services and activities for reunions and commencement.
- Who is eligible for Interim Housing? (1) Students working for reunions, i.e. Dining Services, Building Services, etc. (2) Students who are members of contracted student entertainment groups working or performing during reunions. (3) Students who signed Summer Housing Contracts and requested Interim Housing. If you cancel your summer housing contract, you will NOT be eligible for interim housing. (4) Students working on Reunion Crews
- Seniors do not need to apply for interim housing
CALENDAR
Friday, May 10th – Interim Housing assignments posted online.
Sunday, May 26th – 12:00 noon –4:00 pm: Interim Housing Move Around You MUST be on campus this day to move to your interim assignment. No exceptions!
Wednesday, June 5th – Interim Housing ends. All rooms must vacate by 12 noon when card access expires (including seniors). Exception: Students with Summer Housing Contracts should remain in their Interim Rooms until their summer contract begins on June 10th.
HOW ARE THE INTERIM ASSIGNMENTS MADE AND HOW IT DOES IT AFFECT YOU?
Only a specified number of rooms and only certain rooms are designated for Interim Housing. At all times we endeavor to keep the student in his/her academic year room. However, if the student’s academic room is not a designated interim room, then that student will have to vacate their room.
We understand that this can be a very exciting, yet challenging time and we sincerely thank you for your cooperation in following the interim housing procedures.
