The Outer Solar System in 3D
JAN 5, 2011
Here's a stereographic view of the orbits of the outer bodies in our Solar
System. View cross-eyed to see the 3D effect. When viewed in 3D, it is
immediately obvious that Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune all lie
essentially in the same orbital plane but that Pluto, Halley's Comet, Eris,
and Sedna are very much not in this plane.
