Web Application Services

What we do

Web Application Services is part of OIT's Academic Technology Services (ATS) department. Working in concert with our colleagues in Web Development Services (WDS) we build web applications for Princeton University departments, programs and centers, and work to develop, support, and document the tools we use for this purpose.

Web Application Services addresses the need for professionally developed web applications that cannot be implemented by Princeton staff, yet which fall below the enterprise-level systems deployed by AIS. Accordingly, Web Application Services usually focuses on applications that have departmental rather than University scope. These are typically smaller-scale applications that can be developed in days or weeks. For information about costs see our policies page.

If you have general questions about the tools Web Application Services uses to create web apps , or specific questions about how to use those tools, please email your question to oitwas@princeton.edu.

What happened to DAS?

As part of an OIT reorganization DAS has moved from AIS to ATS and is now called Web Application Services. All of the systems built by DAS will be maintained by Web Application Services in the future. We encourage our former DAS customers to review our policies as some have changed.
