Phone and Cellular Services
Princeton Telephone Services
- Local calling
Princeton University's Telephone Services provides telephone service in all dorm rooms. The service includes local, Caller ID, and voice messaging services. Just bring a phone or buy one at the Telephone Services office in the Frist Campus Center. If you bring a phone of your own to campus, be sure it does not operate in the 2.4 GHz range. - Long distance calling
Long distance calls, collect calls, and prepaid calling card calls can be made with a Personal Authorization Code (PAC). Domestic and international long distance rates are competitive. Current domestic long distance rates are 7 cents per minute; international rates can be viewed online.
Requests for PACs will be taken beginning Saturday, August 22. To get a PAC number and to sign up for long distance service go to www.princeton.edu/telecom.
Cellular long distance for less - especially beneficial for international calling
Princeton University has partnered with MobileSphere, an international wireless long-distance provider, to provide competitive long distance and international calling from your cell phone. MobileSphere's UTalk service offers rates as low as 5 cents per minute. All Princeton University students are eligible for this service.

Princeton’s own Tiger 400-Minute Calling Plan includes 400 anytime minutes (domestic long distance calls with your PAC) and Cell Phone Connect Service (forwards campus calls to your cell phone) for only $15/month (a $32/month value).
