Academic Support Overview
Here at Princeton there are many people to help you with academics. All freshmen are assigned a faculty adviser, chosen from among Whitman College's outstanding faculty fellows. Your faculty adviser will help guide you through Princeton's many academic opportunities and will be there during your first two years (or one year for BSE students) to discuss your course schedule and academic plans. You and your faculty adviser are supported by Whitman's outstanding Peer Academic Advisers, upperclass students who can offer a student perspective on a range of advising matters.
Within the College office, Dr. Lorts and Dean Graves-Bayazitoglu are here to help you with your academic questions or concerns. They can help you with administrative procedures, explain university policies, and connect you to academic support resources around the university. To schedule an appointment with Dr. Lorts or Dean Graves-Bayazitoglu, please stop by the college office or email the college secretary Sara Krause at email@example.com.
