Meals with Faculty
Since one of the best ways to get to know professors is to share a meal with them, at Whitman College every day is Bring-a-Faculty-Member-to-Dinner Day! If you’d like to invite a professor to eat with you in Community Hall, simply stop by the office to see Sara Krause or send her an email at skrause@princeton.edu She'll provide you with a meal pass for your professor.
Whitman’s faculty fellows already have dining privileges here, so if you see a professor eating alone, sit down and introduce yourself. These professors have become fellows of the College because they want to meet you!
Special Dinners
Every Tuesday night is College Night. That means that only members of the Whitman Community eat here.
Once a semester Whitman hosts a special faculty dinner. This is an opportunity for you alone or with a group of your friends to invite a professor to a semi-formal dinner in Community Hall. Announcements will go out ahead of time, since you need to sign up to attend. You can sign up for these dinners by emailing Sara Krause or stopping by the college office.
Fall term 2011 special faculty dinner- Thursday, November 15th
Spring term's special faculty dinner- TBD.
Each year the dining hall also hosts special themed dinners. We will announce the dates for these dinners as they become available.

Language and Discussion Tables
Whitman hosts a number of language and discussion tables in Community Hall, giving you a chance to practice your language skills or discuss issues and disciplines over a meal or a snack.
