Whitman College is one of Princeton University's six residential colleges. As a four-year college, Whitman houses and advises freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors. Resident graduate students, faculty fellows, and a dedicated college administrative staff are also part of this learning community. The college is named after Meg Whitman ’77, one of the world's preeminent business leaders. A theater, studios, classrooms, common spaces, and a dining hall known as Community Hall are all within the college. About 500 undergraduates live in seven residence halls: Fisher Hall, North Hall, Murley-Pivirotto Family Tower, Hargadon Hall, Lauritzen Hall, Baker Hall, and 1981 Hall. Additionally, juniors and seniors who elect to live in upperclass housing also return to the college for non-departmental advising and college events. Inaugurated in the fall of 2007, Whitman College is forging new traditions to further strengthen the deep sense of community that characterizes educational life at Princeton.

Dear members of the Classes of 2013, 2014, and 2015,
The Office of Institutional Research is conducting the Enrolled Student survey that asks freshmen, sophomores, and juniors about their involvement in academic and extracurricular activities, factors influencing their selection of a major, and their overall undergraduate experience. This annual survey is an important source of student feedback on University programs and services that is often used by the University.
On April 25 you will receive an email message from the Office of Institutional Research inviting you to participate in the Enrolled Student Survey. Please take the time to complete the confidential survey. Your responses will provide valuable information about Princeton’s performance as an educational institution and will give the University important guidance as it plans for the future.
If you have any questions about the survey please contact Vice Provost Jed Marsh at provres@princeton.edu
Many thanks,
Jed
