Princeton has been my home for four years now, but this will be my first year in Whitman College. I grew up in Berkeley, California and first moved to the East Coast to study at Harvard. There, I concentrated in Physics and Astronomy & Astrophysics, but I took time off during and after college to work on clean energy technology in Brazil and Guatemala. At Princeton, I moved to the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department where my research focuses on energy storage for wind and solar systems in an effort to improve rural electrification projects. After Princeton, I plan to work in the area of clean energy, international development and carbon mitigation. I love to travel and explore and to spend as much time outside as possible, whether it be to backpack, bike or rock climb. In the upcoming year I am looking forward to baking for study breaks, doing yoga in the Whitman dance studio, organizing outdoor adventures and of course getting to know all of the Whitman students.
