RGS Open Hours @ Wilson
Dearest Wilsonese,
Welcome back! We hope you've had a relaxing and restful reprieve from final exams and papers the past week. While fall term fades into the woodwork, we the RGS team at Wilson are stoked for the start of a new term, with snappy new syllabi to shop (or drop), and the promise of warmer weather by the end. This spring, we are launching a new program at the College, which we're dubbing "RGS Open Hours."
It's like office hours, but like, not awkward. Instead of having anything to do with class, it'll be all about you and what you're most excited about. Wondering how to take your academic interests to the next level by getting involved in research? Thinking about applying for a summer fellowship but need some tips on how to draft up a project proposal? Maybe there's a prof you think does really neat stuff, but you're not comfortable 'cold-emailing' her — or maybe you're toying with the idea of going abroad, but not sure where to start — whatever ideas you've got simmering, here's your chance to have frank and friendly chats with folks who've had to stare down that bridge and cross it, too.
You can find us at a reserved table in Wilcox from 6-7pm on Wednesdays. We'll be rotating throughout the semester between RGSes in the Social Sciences, Natural Sciences/Engineering, and the Humanities. This upcoming Wednesday, Feb 6, we'll be leading off with RGSes from the Social Sciences. Check out the RGS bios online to learn more about which flavored Open Hours will be the best fit for you!
If you have any questions about the program, feel free to email Mike Sockin (msockin@princeton.edu) or Judy Fan (jefan@princeton.edu). Looking forward to chatting with you soon!
All best,
Your Wilson RGSes
