Wilson College Graduate Student Fellow
Xin Xu is a graduate student in the Department of Molecular Biology. She grew up in Hangzhou, China, a city known for its beautiful scenery and pleasant people, just outside of Shanghai. She went to college at Fudan University in Shanghai, studying life sciences. In 2004, she spent a semester in The University of Hong Kong, and she liked experiencing a different culture so much she decided to go much farther from home for her future studies.
Currently she is studying how peripheral sensory neurons in fruit flies develop and function. She likes to ponder how the brain works and how people make decisions. In her spare time, she enjoys music, traveling, adventures, having interesting conversations and all kind of card games that she knows of.
Xin is excited to be a graduate fellow at Wilson, and looks forward to becoming part of a great community.
