Wilson College Staff
Lisa Herschbach, Dean

Greetings Wilsonites, new and returning! This fall marks a decade since my arrival at Princeton, and the eighth year of my deanship at Wilson College. Prior to Princeton I was an assistant professor of history at Rutgers University; my teaching and research interests are in the history of American science and technology, particularly the history of rehabilitative medicine. I received my Ph.D. from Harvard and taught there, as well as at University College London, before succumbing to the pull of Central New Jersey. I live in nearby Hopewell with my husband, Ian Stanley - a carpenter and industrial designer - daughter Cerise (10) and son Tobias (7). When we aren't making a mess sprucing up our very old house, we can be found running our bulldogs, biking the local tow paths, and kayaking the Jersey and Maine shorelines. My job as dean is to offer support and advice as you map your academic path over the next four years. It's the most rewarding work imaginable. I can't wait to get started. My door is always open so come by soon and often.
