Activities

Treasurer
Acción Puertorriqueña y Amigos, the campus Puerto Rican students organization.
Managed a yearly budget of $2,000, responsible for all matters pertaining to organization finances and expenses.
Raised over $20,000 for campus-wide events such as concerts and cultural trips.
Successfully lobbied, as part of Acción, the implementation of a Latino Studies Program as well as Latino-related seminars.
Brought to campus a number of prominent speakers such as former Surgeon General Antonia Novello and San Juan, PR, mayor Héctor Luis Acevedo.
Began a campus-wide newsletter devoted to Latino issues and culture.
Created and maintained a Web Page for the organization.

Member of Latin Dance Co.Grupo Yukiyu.
Performed at various campus functions, including the International Festival and Latino Culture Shows, as well as campus Latin Music parties (Salsa Parties).
