Albanians (Albanian: Shqiptarët) are a nation and ethnic group from southeast Europe who live in Albania, Kosovo and neighboring countries. They speak the Albanian language. Less than half of all Albanians live in Albania, with other large groups residing in Kosovo[a], Turkey, the Republic of Macedonia, Italy, Montenegro, Serbia, and Greece. The Albanian diaspora also exists in a number of other countries.
