Cedarville is a census-designated place and unincorporated area located within Lawrence Township, in Cumberland County, New Jersey. It is part of the Vineland-Milleville- Bridgeton Primary Metropolitan Statistical Area for statistical purposes. As of the United States 2000 Census, the CDP population was 793.

Geography

Cedarville is located at 39°20′03″N 75°12′08″W / 39.334292°N 75.202314°W / 39.334292; -75.202314 (39.334292, -75.202314).[3]

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 6.0 km2 (2.3 mi2). 5.9 km2 (2.3 mi2) of it is land and 0.1 km2 (0.04 mi2) of it (1.74%) is water.

Demographics

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 793 people, 276 households, and 208 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 134.9/km2 (349.8/mi2). There were 306 housing units at an average density of 52.0/km2 (135.0/mi2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 85.75% White, 8.83% African American, 1.77% Native American, 0.38% Asian, 2.52% from other races, and 0.76% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.04% of the population.

There were 276 households out of which 34.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.3% were married couples living together, 11.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 24.3% were non-families. 19.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.87 and the average family size was 3.26.
