Custer County is a county located in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. It was named in honor of General George Armstrong Custer. As of 2000, the population was 26,142. Its county seat is Arapaho[1].

Geography

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,002 square miles (2,595.2 km2), of which 987 square miles (2,556.3 km2) is land and 15 square miles (38.8 km2) (1.55%) is water.
