The demographics of China are identified by a large population with a relatively small youth division, which is partially a result of the People's Republic of China's one-child policy. The population policies implemented in China since 1979 have helped to prevent between 350 and 400 Million more births.[1]

Today, China's population is over one billion, the largest of any country in the world. China plans to conduct its sixth national population census on November 1, 2010.[2]
