Duplain Township is a civil township of Clinton County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 2,329 at the 2000 census.




According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 35.4 square miles (91.7 km²), of which, 35.3 square miles (91.5 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.3 km²) of it (0.28%) is water.


As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 2,329 people, 866 households, and 637 families residing in the township. The population density was 66.0 per square mile (25.5/km²). There were 900 housing units at an average density of 25.5/sq mi (9.8/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 98.07% White, 0.13% African American, 0.21% Native American, 0.17% Asian, 0.94% from other races, and 0.47% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.15% of the population.
