Frederick is a city in Rice County, Kansas, United States. The population was 11 at the 2000 census. The city is the second-smallest incorporated city in Kansas, larger than only Freeport (population 6)


Frederick is located at 38°30′47″N 98°16′4″W / 38.51306°N 98.26778°W / 38.51306; -98.26778 (38.513108, -98.267756)[3]. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.5 km²), all of it land.


As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 11 people, 7 households, and 3 families residing in the city. The population density was 57.1 people per square mile (22.4/km²). There were 7 housing units at an average density of 36.3/sq mi (14.2/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 100.00% White.

There were 7 households out of which none had children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.1% were married couples living together, and 42.9% were non-families. 42.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 1.57 and the average family size was 2.00.
