Fremont Township is a civil township of Tuscola County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 3,559 at the 2000 census.




According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 36.1 square miles (93.6 km²), of which, 35.9 square miles (93.1 km²) of it is land and 0.2 square miles (0.5 km²) of it (0.53%) is water.


As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 3,559 people, 1,266 households, and 965 families residing in the township. The population density was 99.0 per square mile (38.2/km²). There were 1,332 housing units at an average density of 37.1/sq mi (14.3/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 97.50% White, 0.17% African American, 0.51% Native American, 0.11% Asian, 0.06% from other races, and 1.66% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.43% of the population.
