Grand County is the 21st most extensive of the 64 counties of the State of Colorado of the United States. The county population was 12,442 at U.S. Census 2000.[1] The county seat is Hot Sulphur Springs.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,870 square miles (4,843.3 km2), of which 1,847 square miles (4,783.7 km2) is land and 23 square miles (59.6 km2) (1.23%) is water.
