Hansford County is a county located in the U.S. state of Texas. In 2000, its population was 5,369. The county is named for John M. Hansford, a Texas state congressman and judge. Hansford County is one of 30 prohibition, or entirely dry, counties in the state of Texas.[1] Its seat is Spearman.[2]
