Harrison County is a county located in the U.S. state of Missouri. As of 2000, the population was 8,850. Its county seat is Bethany[1].

History

The county was organized in 1845 and is named after United States Congressman from Missouri Albert G. Harrison.[2]

Geography

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 726 square miles (1,880.3 km2), of which 725 square miles (1,877.7 km2) is land and 1 square mile (2.6 km2) (0.18%) is water.
