Iowa County is a county located in the U.S. state of Iowa. As of 2000, the population was 15,671. Its county seat is Marengo.[1]

Iowa County is one of seven counties in the United States that shares its name with its state, along with Arkansas County, Hawaii County, Idaho County, New York County, Oklahoma County, and Utah County.
