Marion County is a county located in the state of Georgia, USA. It was created on December 14, 1827. It is part of the Columbus, Georgia-Alabama Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of 2000, the population is 7,144. The 2007 Census Estimate showed a population of 7,024.[1] The county seat is Buena Vista.[2]
