Ottawa County is a county in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the population was 238,314, with the Census Bureau placing the population at 261,957 in 2009[1]. The county seat is Grand Haven[2].

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,632 square miles (4,227 km²), of which, 566 square miles (1,465 km²) of it is land and 1,066 square miles (2,762 km²) of it (65.34%) is water.
