Reynolds is a town in Honey Creek Township, White County, Indiana, United States. The population was 547 at the 2000 census.



Reynolds is located at 40°45′0″N 86°52′25″W / 40.75°N 86.87361°W / 40.75; -86.87361 (40.750051, -86.873716)[3].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.5 square miles (1.4 km²), all of it land.


As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 547 people, 199 households, and 159 families residing in the town. The population density was 1,036.2 people per square mile (398.5/km²). There were 225 housing units at an average density of 426.2/sq mi (163.9/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 99.58% White, 1.46% Native American, 0.18% Asian, 0.18% Pacific Islander, 7.86% from other races, and 0.73% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 8.78% of the population.

There were 199 households out of which 44.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.3% were married couples living together, 9.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 20.1% were non-families. 17.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.75 and the average family size was 3.06.

In the town the population was spread out with 31.4% under the age of 18, 6.6% from 18 to 24, 32.5% from 25 to 44, 17.4% from 45 to 64, and 12.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 33 years. For every 100 females there were 91.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93.3 males.
