Rhea County (pronounced "ray") is a county located in the U.S. state of Tennessee. As of 2000, the population was 28,400. Its county seat is Dayton[1].



According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 336 square miles (871 km²), of which 316 square miles (818 km²) is land and 20 square miles (53 km²) (6.08%) is water.
