Rolesville is a town in Wake County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 2,844 at the 2008 census. [3] As with surrounding Wake County, North Carolina, the City of Rolesville was experiencing rapid growth both before and after the 2000 census. An estimate made by the town government, based on approved developments, projected the population to be 7,813 residents by 2010. [4] There are three properties in Rolesville that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places: Dr. Lawrence Branch Young House, Green-Hartsfield House and the Heartsfield-Perry Farm.

Rolesville is located at 35°55′26″N 78°27′40″W / 35.923873°N 78.461029°W / 35.923873; -78.461029.[5]

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.6 square miles (4.2 km2), all of it land.

Demographics

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 907 people, 353 households, and 265 families in the town. The population density was 557.4 people per square mile (214.8/km2). There were 384 housing units at an average density of 236.0/sq mi (91.0/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 84.01% White, 8.49% African American, 0.22% Native American, 0.44% Asian, 5.73% from other races, and 1.10% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6.95% of the population.
